It has been quite the year – A year of lockdown and social restrictions as businesses and retailers reinvent themselves to survive in this new world. We look back on the year that was and congratulate our tenants for weathering the storm. We are also grateful for our new retailers who have joined the mall over the last year. The Collective – Hout Bay
We are pleased to announce the imminent opening of The Collective Hout Bay at the Old Post Office building on the Main Road which forms part of our historical Fisherman’s World precinct. The Collective Hout Bay is a Local Artisan Gift Emporium run by a team of close knit Hout Bay locals who are passionate about showcasing the work of over 160 exceptional local makers , creatives and artists. Open 7 days a week, you can find them at The Old Post Office from the end of May but do support them at their current spot until then, at Victoria Mall.

Cape Town Tailor
One of our newest tenants, Cape Town Tailor is located between Wheelers Pharmacy and the Post Office at the Main Road entrance to the mall.
With a team of highly experienced seamstresses and seamsters, there is no task that is too big or too small for their team. They specialize in clothing repairs and alterations, dress making and specialized CMT, curtain and cushion tailoring and manufacturing, leather and suede tailoring as well as labelling and uniforms.
They also offer an urgent alteration service on smaller tasks so that you can have your mending done while you do your shopping in the mall. Sustainable clothing is the future and Tailor Cape Town strives to encourage their customers to repair and reuse special garments as much as possible before replacing it with something new.

We are thrilled to welcome Postnet to Midpoint Mall, with their doors officially opened at the end of April. Be sure to pop in and welcome them to the mall.

Brot – Nicole’s Bakery
Whilst Brot is not a new shop at the mall, many people do not realise that the shop is under new management. Owned by Nicole, hailing from Germany, they are continuing the legacy the previous owners left by making speciality breads and bakes – follow the delicious smells to their shop across from Clicks and get your daily dose of croissants, rye bread, ciabatta, kitka and sourdough as well as delicious bakes like cheese and apple cakes. Not to mention their speciality grocery items.

Violet Flowers
Another new tenant, so new that they haven’t yet officially opened their doors yet, Violet Flowers are blooming marvelous! Their new home is the wendy house next to the wishing well as you cross over the bridge from Mainstream to Midpoint Mall. Be sure to pop in for the perfect bunch or special occasion blooms. Violet Flowers specializes in flowers for weddings, birthdays, memorials and also stocks small indoor and outdoor plants and vases. Plus they deliver throughout Cape Town.

J&M Biltong
Over the years J&M biltong has become synonymous with exceptionally high quality meat, delicious biltong and good old-fashioned family values. J&M Famous Biltong use only the highest quality meat, and their now-famous biltong is still made using the secret spice recipe developed by Mr Joubert and Mr Monty all those years ago. Spirit Jewellery
Nikki, owner of Spirit is a business woman, mother and entrepreneur with a passion and drive to make things happen. The pandemic took its toll on her and her business, but through it all she held on and pushed even harder to create new designs and restructure her business. She took the opportunity to move to her new store on the main road because she saw the light at the end of the tunnel. “I had to decide if I wanted to fade or create. So I created.”
With a new energy and hope, Nikki decided to share this inspiration and feeling with her local customers in the best possible way she could – she created a beautiful new range dedicated to hope – “Rays of Light”. Inspired by the elements of light, the Rays of Light Collection embraces the radiant beauty around us in all its forms.
