Hooray - there’s a big Pick ‘n Pay on its way
into Hout Bay

After being delayed for more than seven years overcoming frustrating red tape, we are pleased to announce that the next phase of Mainstream Mall, the construction of the precinct to be known as Midpoint (with Pick n Pay as an anchor tenant), commenced during October 2013, and is scheduled for occupation during October 2014.

Comprising another 3000 square metres of additional retail space, the extensions will include a state-of-the-art corporate Pick n Pay supermarket, lineshops, apartments, a designated pedestrian bridge over the Baviaanskloof Stream (to link the southern and northern banks of the development) and a basement carpark.

This will result in Africa’s three major supermarket groups (Woolworths, Pick n Pay and Checkers)  being conveniently situated within a three minute walk of each other, thereby further entrenching Mainstream Mall and its adjacent Fisherman’s World precinct as Hout Bay’s CBD.

In total Mainstream/Midpoint/Fisherman’s World, upon completion of this phase, will have a lettable area of over  18 000 square metres, plus magnificent landscape and vistas.
